I'm so happy to say hello to everyone here. I'm very inspired by the support, friendship and knowledge that I've found reading the forum threads.

I'd like to tell you a little about me. I'm a 55 year old female and I currently weigh 240 lbs. I was in denial about my size until I saw a woman on the "Biggest Loser" that weighed 238 and was my height (5' 5"). A reality check quickly followed. Today is my first day of Induction. I've read the book (three times), and I've got my kitchen ready.

I'd like to also say that it's wonderful to find a forum just for Atkins, and to find people that have met their goal weight, that stay to pass on the wisdom. God Bless you guys!

Welcome to ADBB , Creek! It's awesome that you are so prepared. I've found that planning makes all the difference in my success on this WOE/WOL. Good luck to you!

BTW - I'm a Big Loser fan myself. It's so neat to watch their transformations. I'm not sure who you are rooting for, but I hope Ali wins.

Welcome. Wishing you a good journey.

I have been following the biggest loser too this season. It is inspirational to see them accomplish their goals. And I am cheering for one of the girls to win. But I like them all. Even Mark with his tears.
