  • Alrighty then....

My name is Brooke Gaskill, and i started induction six days ago. I DID lose 4 lbs, but i dont think i'm doing it right. I started reading his book yesterday and got 1/4 through it, and am hoping to finish it today. I'm getting a little frustrated thought, as i see most people do in induction. I feel confused and a little lost when it come to coming up with creative meals. I've read the receipes in the book and quite a few online, but it still didn't help. I mean...i love meat, so i would think i would be okay. But the only vegetables i like are green beans, carrots, peas, and lettuce. So i'm kind of lost in that area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I work out three days a week at a gym and am starting a spinning class next wednesday. So the activity is defintely taken care of. I'm a stay at home mom of two, who is constantly around food i shouldn't be. I try to keep it out of the house, but even going to my grandma's or mothers, or mother-in-laws, is horrible. I never give in to temptation, but i hate feeling that way. I read all the scientific facts about this diet, but in the back of my head all i keep saying is , "ya know....i just started working out...i bet if i ate healthier(with bread) i would lose weight" I can't help it. I started at 170 lbs and am down to 166 lbs, but for some reason that isn't helping me much. Does anyone have an inspirational induction story? Oh i miss my cherrios...

Welcome and hang in there. Putting it on is easy and probubly more fun too. Taking off is the challenge, gotta push yourself and dont think about the breads, cheerios, etc. You are so deep into induction you should be over your cravings. Not much of an inspirational story here but am here to cheer you on and dont quit. Best of luck and keep us all posted. God Bless, Joe
