Hey everyone,
Hope you are all well. I want to say you are all such inspirations! I love looking at everyone's before and after pictures!
Anyway, my name is Cecily. I'm 26, 5'2" and 196 lbs, and this is going to be my third attempt at Atkins. It is something that has always worked for me but my mind was never in the "game". For me eating healthy and working out it is a mind game and my mind needs to be in the right place otherwise I'll quit 2 or 3 weeks into the program.
This January I was ready to go! I had the right motivation and I had the perfect mindset. I was going to get back on Atkins and become healthy again not just for my family but most especially for myself. The week I was going to start Atkins I found out that I was pregnant with our second child. We were very excited and I decided not to go on Atkins especially Induction since Ketosis can be very dangerous for a baby. Unfortunately, on March 14th I suffered a miscarriage and we lost the baby. It was a very hard time for me and needless to say I comforted myself with my terrible eating habits gaining some more weight.
After suffering that miscarriage I am finally back to "normal" and my mind is back in the game. So this Monday I am starting the lifestyle change. I know it's going to be a long hard process but I know the results will be well worth it! I would love all the emails, chats, encouragement, and anything else you can think of to keep me going!
My little goal is to try and lose 10 lbs. by the last week of July (family vacation, haha). My long term goal is to get back down to a healthy weight for my height. That boils down to losing about 80 lbs. (give or take a few
)
Anyway this site looks awesome and I look forward to meeting fellow Atkineers (get as in Musketeers? haha, I'm so weird!).
Talk to you all later!
