  • Hi :)

Hi all! :wave Am new to the board, so would like to introduce myself before I ask for any help! I am 22 years old, live in the UK, and recently got engaged (2nd February) to an America. I currently weigh 258lbs and desperately want to get down to 182lbs. (I'd really like to lose more, but i figure that's a realistic target!) I'm sure it's not an impossible task - I was on Atkins before (I only lasted two months during my summer vacation, because as a student I went back to university and lived off pasta, bread and potatoes, which really wasn't very sensible!) I have now graduated and know that it is achievable now I am a fully fledged adult, without the need to live on fast and easy foodstuff!

I want to lose weight, and have wanted to do so for a long time. With my wedding planned for March 2006, I think it's an excellent opportunity for me to lose weight with that in mind!

Now for the helpy-bit ha :help

I feel overwhelmed and nervous because I know this is something I desperately want to do, and I am so scared of messing up. I really want to be in touch with like minded people (which is why I am here really) who can help me along the way, and hopefully I can help them back?

I have read the book, I understand it (I think) but it's all rather overwhelming, and I am worried about the evening meal side of things whilst on the 14 day induction. Is there a page on here that reccomends recipes (tried and tested!?!) or does anyone have any ideas? I get so bored of eating the same foods if it TASTES the same!!

Sorry, I have just realised how long this message is! I promise to keep them shorter in the future!

Nice to meet you all :joy
