    Hello,
    Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.
    I'm Chrissy and I'm on day 11 of induction. I'm so shocked at how well Atkins works! I've lost nearly 8 pounds already! I've always been overweight but when I recently reached 200 pounds, I knew that something had to change. I was definitely a carb addict. I've read the book cover to cover 3 times in the last few weeks and I can see what I've been doing wrong my entire life. Everything makes so much more sense now.
    The strange part is that I'm not really craving carbs. I was amazed at how easily I could turn them down, even when on an date with my boyfriend the other day.
    One question though. I'm feeling good except that I'm concerned about a lack of appetite. I've read somewhere that this can be a symptom of ketosis/lyposis and think that's what it is. Does this sound right? I used be hungry and snack all the time before, and now I have to remind myself to eat. It's odd feeling satiated so much of the time. Not that I'm complaining, mind you

      Welcome Chrissy! Sounds like you are doing well in this way of eating/living~~~WOE/WOL! What you are describing is in fact a part of ketosis!!! Very important to remind yourself to eat though.

      I'm very impressed that you have read the book!!! Keep it handy to refer to often!!!

        Welcome! Your stats are a lot like mine! I'm also experiencing the no appetite thing.

            Welcome Chrissy.

            I also am not craving carbs at all. I make lunches for the kids with whole wheat bread, and for dinners, potatoes, rice and noodles and other side dishes and I haven't had an inkling to have any of their food.
