    I have tried the induction phase of Atkins many times and have never made it past day 3. I really dont go through bad withdrawls or anything I just dont like eating the acceptable foods when on induction (excuses,excuses,excuses) :sadblinky . Fact is Ive really never been able to complete a goal in my life. But I do feel that if I am able to conquer this weight issue maybe other goals will come just a little bit easier.

    Welcome Margarita!! I'm so happy you decided to join us. You can do this. Take it one day at a time, one pound at a time. I know it seems overwhelming if you look at the big picture, so the best thing for me was to take it bit by bit.

    As with anything that you start new, it takes time to become a habit. Surround yourself with the forums here on the ADBB for support and encouragement. You will see that you are not alone. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help you succeed. Make sure you read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002. Drink water, take supplements and exercise. You'll be surprised how great you feel as you watch the inches melt away! Best wishes!!

      Wow, you so souded like me when i first started almost exactly the same, even the weight.... i jsut want to say that i am doing it and so can you. attitude makes a big differnece as does this board so stay positive eat ONLY the foods allowed and you will be at goal in no time- set lots of mini goals to keep you focused and motivated, hope to see you around more often...your doing great so far so keep it up :hug
