  • Never look back!

Hello all. My name is Suellyn. I have tried Atkins at least 5 times in the past and have for some reason, never managed to make it past the 1st week. Well this time, I am heading for day 7 and I'm feeling great about it. So far, I'm down 8lbs and really want to be back to my old self my the summer.

I'm reading as much as I can on this board to keep up my motivation. You guys all seem so friendly and so helpful. I hope in another 2-3wks I can add sum semi-b4 and after pics.

Welcome Suerenity! You've broken through your barrier... congratulations! You'll find it gets easier and easier as you go along... it's partly a question of focus. If you concentrate on the awesome foods you can eat on this plan, rather than those you have to take out, you'll find it's plain sailing. By the time you hit maintenance you'll be eating really most foods again. All you'll be omitting will be refined flour, sugar and highly processed foods.

            Keep us posted!
            Before and after:

            PLEDGING FLIGHTS
Completed: 1st set of buildings and mountains (Everest,M.Blanc & Kilimanjaro, twice); Tower Masts & Chimneys; More virtual buildings; Challenger's Choice x 2 (volcanos and mountains on Mars). Currently climbing: Mount Snowdon again: 416/475

Start 10 Jan 2005. Maintenance since Aug. 2005.

              Suellyn,
You are crossing over the 7 day barrier and with a 8 pound loss you must see this diet is worth it! I have tried so many diets where I almost literally starve myself and maybe see a 1lb loss, it was so discouraging. But now, I feel that I control my destiny and I know what to do to get the results that I seek.

Stay strong and know with focus, you will achieve your goal!
