  • Wanting to do it right this time....

I did Atkins recently for a long period of time and lost about 20 pounds in abot 5 months only...I have a long way to go and what happened was I ended up having a hard time losing the weight but I felt great on this way of eating...

So to jumpstart my weight loss, I had dropped down to 0-5 carbs a day and was losing a bit...but it was hard and I didn't feel right. I kept stalling out...anyhow, I know that I was doing something wrong or whatever but I tried and tried and still kept bouncing up and down on the weight loss...

So I got frustrated and on January I joined weight watchers and a gal in another forum told me "you'll be back!" ...rofl and guess what?? she was right! I found myself dog tired and dragged down cause of eating so much of the wrong carbs and thinking it was ok cause it fit in the points allotment! lol I lost only down about 10 more pounds from January till now! I am extremely weight loss resistant as I have PCOS and systemic candiasis (sp?)...

Now I look back on it and realize that cutting the vegies was not the smartest thing I ever did and also I didn't exercise...and I have learned since then by reading here that exercise is non-negotiable...lol I live in Alaska so the outdoors are a bit harder for me in the winter and since we only get about 3 months of summer it can be tough sometimes...But I will try!!

Soooooooo, Here I am back again into the low carb lifestyle and I want to do it right this time! Thats really important to me...I don't want to deprive my body of things it needs (vegies, exercise, etc)...And I DO want to lose the weight more than anything!!!!

So I guess I will see you all on the boards! And thanks for reading this amazingly boring introduction! lol

Thanks for the encouragement folks! I hope to lose the weight this time!...

today is actually day 3 for me...I have lost 5 pounds already but am going thru some super bad headaches, dizzy spells and a basic 'fog' in my brain...I was afraid to drive but had to go pick up the kids...I am not sure if this is normal as I don't remember it being this bad before...

        any ideas for me??
