  • Finally hit Ketosis!

I am 37 and have been needing to lose weight for years, just a bit that has now stretched into 15-20 lbs. My life has revolved around which diet I was on, missing parties, outings and other things that I knew drinks and food would be out of control around.I never really stuck with any for more than a week. I finally decided to get serious and tried atkins. I remember(previously) this diet did make me feel the best.
I was on Atkins for a full week. During the week I was having atkin bars everyday and Shakes once in a while. I called the 1-800 number to ask if this was o.k since they only net 2 carbs. At the end of week one I had lost one pound...how depressing. I was so sad I blew it for the whole day.
But the next day I was mad enough to get on the program and do it clean this time!
I am on day 5? and still with it but have not noticed a difference. But I have been using the Ketostix and they are finally showing moderate level of ketosis.
I have been looking at this web site and getting a lot of good tips and recipes so I just wanted to say hi and and I welcome your inputs.

    Re: Finally hit Ketosis!

Ditch the shakes & the bars as they are known stallers. They aren't Induction friendly~~~read the ingredients.

Invest in the 2002 version of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution & follow the plan per Dr. A. Post often, ask questions, start a journal & join a challenge or two. Make sure you take your measurements so you can keep track of inches lost!

    Good luck in your journey.
