  • De-lurking~ back to atkins. Now I'm a mom with a mission

    I can't remember when I fell off the wagon, it was like 5 years ago, but I know that Atkins is what works best for my body. I am struggling to drop the caffeine, ciggys and sodas back out of my diet but I am cutting WAY down so that by Sunday I can cut all of these out and do a proper, clean induction and follow the plans as written.

    The biggest difference between now and when I did atkins before is I am working out every day, even if it is just a 2 mile walk. The other difference is motivation. I have a active, healthy toddler that deserves a healthy active mum, that I am doing a great disserve to by sneaking in cigarettes and mainlining caffeine in all it's forms.

    My beginning stats are 237/217/145 [5/2/08] I'm turning 30 in October, I don't honestly think I would hit goal by then, but I aim to at least not be shopping in the womens department by then!

    Anyways, I just thought I would out myself and join the club Oh, and I am the queen of run-on sentances, so if you would just excuse that I think I would make a nice addition

    Welcome MonkeysMom~~~I love your name!!! Sounds like you have a plan & the motivation to stick with it.

        Welcome back! Hey, we have the same birthdays! My goal is to have lost at least 60 pounds by then. ( Oct 3 ) But, if not, then I keep on trying and happy with what I will be losing. My goal is about 10 pounds a month. As long as I know that I am dedicated and really sticking to it, I am happy with what I will be losing, because it's less unhealthy pounds gone! Good luck and keep us posted!
