  • Hello everyone!

    Hello Everybody,
    Ive been on the board here for a couple of days on atkins for just about three weeks! I just wanted to introduce myself...I am a Mom of two beautiful children a little boy and a little girl...I am 21 years old and recently graduated from college. I am a Early Childhood Educator, however at this moment I am back at school again doing a psychology and counselling course, which will lead me to be a counsellor in whatever area I so choose. I also have a very supportive and loving husband, who is such a great Dad! We started dating when were 11 and have been in love ever since.

    I have always been a couple pounds overweight...nothing noticable until I had children and then BOOOOOM I gained 100 pounds!!! So, I am here to have the support to do that! I have NEVER been comfortable talking about my weight and I am so happy that I feel comfortable to let it all out here. This reminds me of a big family holding no judgements, because we are all in this together. I cant wait to be the person I want to be on the outside, to match the person inside!

    I am looking forward to getting to know you all...and thanks for all your support!!!

      Welcome to the ADBB family~~~fantastic support & knowledge here! Congrats on your loss thus far! Post often, ask questions, start a journal & join a challenge or two. Did you take your measurements when you started? If not please do as it is wonderful to see the inches drop!!

        I couldn't believe when I read your post that we have a lot in common. I have three children of my own...I am 27 and I didn't gain my weight until I had kids. My son was born 2 years ago and I have held onto all 60 pounds that I gained during my pregnancy. I am on my 5th day of induction and I am determined to get down to a healthy weight. My friend told me about this website and I have found it very helpful. Good luck on your weight loss and I look forward to talking to you again.

          Welcome aboard the Atkins train! You have accomplished so much at an early age and I believe that you will do very well on the Atkins way of eating. 28 pounds is fantastic!

            Thanks everyone!!!! Im sooo happy to have so much support!

            Also, to answer the ques. above, my children are 2 and 5 months....so its a challenge but worth every minute!
