  • New to Atkins

    Hello,

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm mid-30s, female, 5'7" and weighed this morning 182. All my life I've battled weight, but I generally fluctated from 130-155. Well, that changed about 18 months ago when I really let myself go and gave up on the weight battle. I kept telling myself I didn't care! I quickly ballooned to 170, and then bit by bit up to 190 over the past 12 months. Let me tell you something, I did care!!

Well, faced with having to lose about 50-60 lbs, I didn't know what to do. I knew that my old tricks to lose 15 lbs in a month wouldn't work. So I decided to try Atkins. I do think I am truly addicted to carbs in the form of bread, and sugar in the form of wine, so this seemed to make sense to break that addiction.

Anyway, I'm now on day 5 of induction, and combined with 2x daily workouts, I have already lost 8 lbs! I know it's water wt, blah blah blah, but I am still happy that my face is thinner, clothes are looser, and just feel better that I'm headed in the right direction.

So hello, I will probably post a lot because I have lots of questions.
