A few weeks ago while at work (I'm a library aide), I was browsing a section of books for a patron and stumbled across DANDR. I put it aside, really with not much thought other than thumbing through it on my break (while eating a bag of potato chips) and then reshelving. I've put on about 15 lbs. since my hysterecty just a little over a year ago. Feeling extremely unconfortable in my own skin, I decided it shouldn't hurt to try this way of healthier eating.....
To my utter amazement only 2 weeks later, I now feel "light" and energized and have lost a significant amount of weight! Any clothing I was packing maximum density in I can no longer wear. Due to an eating disorder I have dealt with (but am aware of daily) well over 10 years ago, I find it unhealthy to weight myself (a trigger). Thanks to my loose-fit clothing and jeans, I can gauge inches lost.
This is the healthies I've felt, physically and mentally in a long, long time!
Forgive me for the long post, I'm just excited (and yet still wondering how I stumbled upon Atkins).
