  • 2nd time's a charm, right?

Hi! I am new to this site but not to Atkins. I lost 75 pounds on Atkins in 2000 and never felt better. I began an upward climb of the scales when my diet/exercise partner and best friend died in a car accident. Since then, I have been blessed with my son and twin daughters but the weight continued to creep on. Well, I have never been thin but I also don't really see myself as fat as I am when I look in the mirror- I am dyslexic anorexic (I think I'm thin in the mirror). Last week I saw myself in the background of a picture and was shocked how huge I have become!!! I got weighed and saw 249.5- I didn't cry but instead I felt this rush of fear. So I am back on Atkins and I can't wait to feel the energy surge and success that came with losing the 75 pounds!

Wow. Welcome back and stay focused and strong and you'll see how fast them pounds roll off. That kinda weigh I call "recycled weight". Since this is my first attempt at Atkin's I do not know personally whether or not it gets easier or is as easy as the first time. Anyhow, keep us updated on your success. God Bless, Joe

I have that same problem with the mirror! I don't notice when I'm getting fat because I look way thinner in the mirror to myself than I really do. It took pics for me to notice as well.
