  • OK - I'm IN!

    I am in. I started induction on Thursday (it is Saturday now)

    I am in the midst of re reading the book and everything else to remember what I can and cannot do to shake my body out of this fat world.

    The last time I did this, I think saccharin and stevia were the only acceptable sweeteners. Is this still true?

    I am sitting at 213 right now and want to get down to 140....which I have not seen in a long time but would be great for my 5' 7" frame.

    Other sweeteners like Splenda are allowed, but some of us find it stalls us. The newest version of Atkins is different from the 70s version ands it is definitely worth buying the new book. As a substitute, read the Induction and OWL stickies. They give a lot of the updated information. Welcome to the board.

      Welcome! Just a heads up this board is based on the 2002 Edition of Atkins' book not the newer version.

        Welcome to the boards and best of luck in your Atkins journey!!

        I agree about getting the 2002 book. I have that and a 1980's version and the differences are amazing. I have followed both plans, and I must say, I feel much healthier getting in all the veggies this time around....and, no constipation! (TMI?)

            Don't worry... all you have to do is stick to the programme. Results will follow and you'll soon be out of that "fat world", to quote you.
