Hello everyone, I am new to this site, but not Atkins. I lost over 100 pounds back when I was 17 on it, but in the ten years since I have gained it all back and then some. Starting last year, I have lost 115 pounds on Weight Watchers and I have been maintaining that. I don't find anything specifically wrong with Weight Watchers, I just don't think it will help me progress any further. I am hoping that by doing Atkins, I can burn more fat and keep what lean muscle I have.
I have actually attempted Atkins in the recent past, but I keep doing it wrong. I don't follow induction by the book, I add things like nuts when I know I shouldn't. Another thing I do is eat too much. Coming from counting points and calories, I find it especially hard to not think about what I am eating. I like to buy the large boxes of frozen hamburger patties, 4oz each. They are convenient and quick, but with something like 400 calories each, I can put down 4-5 a meal. The last time I attempted Atkins I counted I ate around 4k calories in one day and freaked out. So hopefully I can control this and be successful.
