    Howdy, everyone!

I am planning to begin the Adkins' diet. I have been overweight (I just can't say the word "fat") all of my adult life. I've tried every weight loss program known to man, and have spent thousands of dollars doing it. I qualify for gastric by-pass surgery, but I don't want to go that route. This is my last resort.

I came online today to find a basic, low carb program, and found this bulletin board. I can't tell you how my heart soared. The posts here are so positive, and there is so much helpful information here, I think I can do it. :nod

I just want to thank the owners of the board for starting it, and making it free.

hi LJ. You've found a place where you can find alot of people who are where you're at now or have been where you've been.
This forum has made me feel like I'm not alone with this weighty journey. :icondance
