ABOUT ME: I'm a 51 year old private school principal; mom of 4; grandmother of 2; wife of 1; highly creative (it's a blessing AND curse!); and a committed Low Carber
ABOUT DIET: I started out with Atkins waaay back in 1976, a few years out of high school. After making it all the way around the diet continent and visited every thing down the pike, I came back to low carb in 2002. I made it a goal to lose 50 pounds before I turned 50... which I did. I went on to lose another 30 pounds, BUT unfortunately, I did it with a very bad low carb / low calorie / low fat diet. For the short time I was on it, my metabolism when to hades in a handbasket. There were a few other physical symptoms, but I'm just thankful to be back on track with Dear Dr. A's methods. I've gained 30 pounds back. Sad day.
ABOUT PLANS: I am currently on DAY 4 of Atkins Induction (I'm trying to do the original 1972 version which is 1 week of "near" zero carbs and NO cream cheese) On week 2, I will begin to add carbs back.
The reason I came here is to glean more information, meet more people, and to just keep the vision in front of myself. I suppose you could say I want to post instead of eat! hahaha
