  • Again!

    Hello fellow atkineers,

Some might remember me from last year. Las August I celebrated losing over 80 pounds 50 on Atkins. I was so excited to be thinner and full of energy, that I started to do everything that lead me to gain weight to start with. I was going out to parties and dinners and over endulging, then winter hit and I was inside more often and eatting all the good stuff that the holidays bring. By the end of the Holidays i was up 10 pounds, not too much but up reguardless. I can honestly say I could of stopped it there and got back on track by getting on that treadmill and moving around a but more. To be truely honesti was happy being lazy! I began to feel a bit tired in the early part of January and that just propelled me into being lazier and unmotivated. Well Here we are July 7 of 2008 and I'm a whopping 235 pounds again. Bursting all my new clothing. 2 weeks ago I went and purchased a few pair of pants with elastic waist bands....ELASTIC waist bands, I felt like oh well the weight is coming back and there's noting I can do about it. Then on the 4th of July I came accross my medical report one from before my run with atkins and one after. Before I lost the weight I was boarder line diabetic my colestrol was throught the roof and everything that could kill you was staring me in the face. My results after were 100 normal. I had regained control of my life and my health and because I was lazy and QUIT on a good thing I find myself again looking at time bomb...tick tock tick tock......Boom Your dead! I need support more than ever to get back to great. The world is loving when your healthly and cruel when your not. This is my second time around and this time I need to learn to change me mental health not just my physical health. Please join me as I reinvent myself again.

            JORGE!

            Of course I remember you!!

You may not believe this, but I was just thinking about you this week. Really! I was looking at some old posts and pics from the challenges we were in together last year. Remember those? Gosh, we were all so fired up back then - including you! And you did great.

I know exactly what it feels like to be in your position... clipping along nicely on Atkins... getting a little too comfortable with how things are... holidays roll around and provide the perfect excuse to just let things slide. Oh yeah, been there and done that (as you can tell by my stats).

The good news is, is that you can make this time around be just as successful (if not more!) than the last time. You've just got to make up your mind that this time is the real deal, and work Atkins to the best of your ability. Because both you and I know that Atkins works, if you work Atkins. As you can see, there are lots of new people on the board since you were last participating. But there's a good number of us from last year that are still here, and will be so happy to see that you are back. Make sure to stick close to the board and post often. If you haven't made it to STAC (Second Time Around Club) yet, I think that would be a good place to get involved. Lots of great folks who are in the same boat as you are.

OK man - you know the drill, and I KNOW that you have it in you to do this. Can't wait to watch you start kicking butt again! Best wishes to you on your journey. Go get 'em!

              Hey Mitzi

Thanks for the words od advice, I think more then half of the battle is the want. (wanting to change)(wanting to succeed)(wanting to be happy). I think when you get lazy you want less because you do less. I think it's time I want more, more myself and more out of life. I will have to post a few starting pics, then in no time at all I be back to my sexy self!
