Hey all, I have just joined and am excited to finally have found a support group that will understand this process!

I have done Atkins successfully a few years back, but have let myself slip again, and have been unsuccessful in attempts since then. I have a very fit, construction worker boyfriend who has no idea what it si like to struggle with weight, so I have found it really difficult to get the support that I need- so i hope that this site will chnage all that for me, and that I can support others too.

I have been waqqtching my weight slowly clime over the past two years, and I have returned to my all-time highest weight. I want to lose at least 35 pounds, but have a really hard time excercisiung as I have had excercise induced asthma since I was a toddler...so any tips on that woudl be much appreciated.

Basically I am lookign to get baxck to the hard-bodied athlete that I used to be, get back in shape, and most of all get back the confidence that i used to have.

Lokk forward to chatting with all of you, and being there for anyone who needs it- i know I will need it too!

    Thanks,
    former hardbody.

I dont have any tips on the asthma but I know with exercise when you havent done it for awhile it takes a toll on the body and you have to push yourself to get through it. I started my first day of exercise yesterday and although it was only a walking for fitness tape it kicked my butt...Im 25 years old and Im like I cant even walk without cramping up...But I kept telling my "body" Im so sorry for doing this to you and I will never do it again...I felt like my body was cursing me for making it work like it was saying girl whats wrong with you are you crazy what are you doing to me...lol

Another way I look at it as Im in an egg and slowly cracking my way out and that the stronger I get the more I will be able to crack my self out...works for me...smile
