Hi, I'm Brittney. I thought about skipping this part, it's always easier to lurk in the shadows and avoid introducing yourself. But I figured I wanted to be a part of the great support I've been reading about all over the boards. So here I am, with my lengthy intro.
I'm 21, and I want to be a healthy weight for the first time in my life. Well, not that I haven't wanted to be skinnier BEFORE. I've wanted that my whole life. But I'm actually doing something about it, rather than copping out after a couple of days. I'm three weeks into dieting and exercising, however I just started the Atkins on Monday. I simply wasn't seeing enough results with a low calorie diet.
I currently weigh 179lbs, my highest weight topped out right around 199lbs. However I started out this time at around 188lbs. I'm 5'5 (and 3 quarters!) and I've got a horribly chunky lower half. I'm hoping to get down to around 135lbs.
Let's see, hm. I live on an island (Boca Grande, FL) and I spend most of my time torturing the woman I love with home improvement projects. I'm a photographer and graphic designer, and I'm far far too good at making myself look skinnier in pictures. I'd like to, for once in my life, take a full bodied picture and not be completely disgusted with it.
So there it is, I got it over with. It's nice to meet all of you =)
