  • Hi everyone!

    Hey there!

I am really excited to start this new Way of life.

After being married for 13 years, I have found myself about 75 pounds (aak!) heavier and way unhappier than I have ever been before. This is the first step of my indepence and hopefully along the road I can accomplish some of my other goals as well.

    Yesterday's meals consisted of

    Breakfast:
    Crustless ham,cheese and egg quiche

    Lunch
    Hamburger patty
1 cup salad with a minced egg and blue cheese dressing (<1 carp per 2 tbsp)

    Dinner

Again the Crustless ham, cheese and egg quiche
1 cup salad with a minced egg and blue cheese dressing (<1 carp per 2 tbsp)

Kinda boring, but I figured it was safe. I will definately need some variety if I am going to make it through Induction.

Oh yeah. Has anyone tried soy slender soy milk? It has 1 carb I think and I think it tasted great. I had one cup of it yesterday, but after reading more I think that maybe I am not suppossed to have it until after induction.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some of you and learning some great things.

    ~M~

PS Is there a standard format for a signature?
    My Stats:

    Start date: July 10, 2008

    Height 5' "
    SW - 205 pounds
    GW - 155
    Current - 205 pounds

    Re: Hi everyone!

Welcome to the community, MB! Be sure to check out the thread on Induction friendly recipes for adding some pizazz to your menu.

I think soy milk is not allowed until the nut rung of OWL (if I remember correctly). And to my knowledge, there is no "right" way to handle your sig. Many here include their age, start date, height, starting weight (SW), current weight (CW), and goal weight (GW) along with graphics for the different challenges they are involved with or have completed. Some put before (and after) pics while others include a graphic to track their progress. I prefer text only just to keep it short, simple, and uncluttered, but to each their own.

Don't be a stranger, and keep us informed of your progress!

            Re: Hi everyone!

Hi there and welcome! Yes unfortunately soy products are not allowed until the beans and legumes rung of OWL. Also it doesn't sound like you are getting enough veggies in. You are required to have at least 3 cups a day and that is the absolute minimum throughout the entire plan. Other that that it sounds like you are off to a good start and you have a great attitude! Good luck and keep us posted!

P.S. Don't forget to take your measurements! Its really important and you will not regret it!
