  • Getting Started in Missouri

Hello everyone, I am a 42 year old mother of 4 trying to find my body again before kids! WHERE IS IT?? If anyone finds it, please leave me a message! LOL. Just wanted to say HEY to everyone and let you all know that I am starting this journey on Monday. I am taking the weekend to purge the cabinets and to make my shopping list and organize things a little. I am ready to begin this! Currently I weigh twice what my goal weight is! So I have a long road ahead of me, but I am going to get started.......not letting NOTHING stop me this time! I have been doing lots of other things to try to lose weight, but nothing is helping. I was a little successful the last time I did Atkins, so I thought I would give it another try! So.........HI EVERYONE..........I hope I can count on you to help me stay positive and have a little shoulder once in a while to lean on.
Sending out loves to you all!

I wish I had 4 kids as an excuse for my body being the way it WAS... its all my fault... I was lazy and now I am not...

Good for you for being methodical about the process... purging the kitchen is critical. I have no clue how you moms cook for your kids and then do ATKINS seperatly. I live alone and am completely free of distraction. I wish you all the best. I started too at similar numbers... twice my ideal weight... don't be daunted by that concept... take it a day at a time... baby steps... get through day one... then day two and before you know it your pants will be falling off your hips... and not because one of your kids is tugging on them...
All the best... welcome here... it is the place to be for encouragement and support...
I have no clue what I would do if this board was not here!

Looking forward to seeing your journey unfold

Hi thelittlegirlinme, you can and will do it this time. If you can raise 4 kids, Atkins and this site should be a cake walk. Read the book, come back here often. Make this a part of your life, you deserve it!
