  • Allergic to dairy/Alternatives?

    Single female, SF Bay Area.
I'm back on Atkins after a year...I'm very disciplined but noticed recent weight gain and justifying ice cream, realized my carb cravings are gaining control of me. I need to lose 5-7 lbs. My only problem with Atkins is I get tired easy but have never consumed vegies during induction, I will this time. I'm usually good for 6-9 months, Atkins does work and has given me the discipline I now have fairly effortlessly. It taught me the difference between what my body needs vs cravings. I'm allergic to dairy and think it's going to be difficult this time without cheese and cream, any alternatives?

After you reach the nut rung you can add soy milk. Some dairy products bother me, but not all. If you aren't sure you could try adding one dairy at a time to see which items trigger your allergies. I can do butters and some cheeses with no problem. Lots of salsa would be on my list if I couldn't spice things up in other ways. Good luck with it.
