  • Hi There!!!

    Today is my first day on Atkins. I started yesterday since I had to go to the supermarket to stock up. We are being hit with a snow storm here in NY. I am doing my first 14 days and thought it was okay to eat sugar-free jello and cool whip to satisfy my sweet tooth. Is that true or should I not be eating that? Also I had a question about salt. I see a lot of spices listed however I don't see salt as one of them. Is it okay to eat salt? I couldn't find the Ketone sticks at rite aid so I am not sure if I am doing this correctly or not.

    About me: I am a 29 years old female with one child(5yrs old). I am very tall at 5'11 and I weight 186. I know a lot of people tell me I don't need to lose weight but I know I do. My ideal weight is 160.

    This board is great for support and answers to question us newbies might have. Wish me luck. :yikes

    We have a wonderful forum for New Members. Congratulations on finding the best support ever.

    Go here and read all about the first 14 days, before you do anything else. It's a wonderful thread and you will be delighted at the wealth of information that is there.


    It would proabaly help to avoid the jello and whipped cream during induction. They are allowable as long as it's made with splenda, but the main purpose of induction is to rid your body of the carbs, which will eliminate cravings.
    Salt is allowable. I would use it in moderation.
    Don't forget to drink plenty of water, and start an exercise regimen. We have many challenges to choose from.

        welcome to the board. I will not wish you luck cauise you don't need it. your hard work and determination doing your Atkis will decide how healthy and small you get doing Atkins not luck.
