  • Here we go again...

I have done Atkins before for all of about 2 weeks. The sad part was that I was making great progress and once I fell off the wagon I was a goner. I am back again and really want to stick with it this time. I just woke up this morning and decided it was time to get in the game and find a healthy lifestyle. These boards are really inspirational and it sure helps to see others find so much success and happiness by sticking with it.

      Hi Jate!

Welcome back! Congrats on taking the initiative to improve your life! Make sure you subscribe to the STAC forum. I am a second-timer also; however, this time will definitely be my last. One thing we need to realize is that Atkins is a way of life and not just a diet. By reading your post, I think you have already acknowledged that. Make sure to reread your copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002 edition) to brush up on some things. Sometimes us second-timers think we know it all when there's a lot we have forgotton.

Thanks Nick. I will definitely subscribe. I have a very bad habit of sabotaging any success I see. I am not sure why, but I find that even after I start seeing positive results I will do something stupid to wreck it and then just give up. I am hoping the support system here will help me feel more accountable. Plus, it is encouraging to see others do well for the long-term not just a couple of weeks. Thanks again.

jate, no one is perfect. if you fall down get right back up that second, don't wait till tomorrow.
drink your water, exercise is simple as walking 30 minutes a day. stay under 20 net carbs and make sure you get 12-15 net carbs from the salad list.

I know atkins works because I believe it works for me.
