  • My new life is in the horizon!

I am 35 and feel like I have a whole new begining!!! Many things have changed for me recently (well in the past 4 years...lol) I got divorced after 14 years of marriage and long story short through the depression and stress gained a whopping 150lbs. GROSS! I am so dissapointed in myself for letting it get this out of hand, but it is what it is... Que Sera, Sera right!

I have always been very in to my body and working out, sticking to a meal plan and portion control... I don't even know what any of that is anymore... I use to be a gym rat and wanted to be super hot.... Then along with my marriage, house, cars and life as I knew it, went down the drain along with that desire for excellence. My ex-husband use to say, my god you are getting so fat... (when our marriage started to fall apart). He would say ugly things like, "Look at how good looking I am, YOU on the other hand don't look anything like you use to." So things progressed as one would think, he started having an affair, I got fatter and poof it all ended. One thing he did say is there is someone out there who will love you no matter how fat you are..... and boy was he right!!!

2 Years 4 months ago I met my soul mate (Dave). He is fantastic!!! Loves me, supports me and has helped pick me back up and dust my *** off to start over again. So here I am the fattest I have ever been in my life and super happy that I get to embark on this new journey of true love and happiness. I however, feel very unattractive even though he sees me as the most beautiful woman in the world (no, he really thinks this)! I don't feel it though... I want my body back, my spirit and spunk.. So I have 8 months before my wedding day, 2 months before I move to Texas (DFW) from FL and a long road ahead of me to get there. I however see my new life on the horizon.

I am joining this page with my great friend Michelle who lives in Texas, we are partnering up for this ordeal. I would love to meet others on here, trade secrets, recipes and hugs! I look forward to doing this and the excitement tickles my stomach!

Loved reading your story..I'm a "new kid on the block" also. Isn't it funny how we used to be so body conscious at one time in our life and that we let it go out the window and can't believe we did such a thing. Sure we can blame it on a million things but when you really think about it, it's sad that we lost that control of ourselves. So...chickie lets go for that new life on the horizon.
