Hi my name is Missy and I am a carboholic. Seriously - I am also about 85 lbs overweight and after seeing pictures of myself recently, I am motivated to start the next, healthy, chapter of my life. I had some success with a low carb/gym routine a few years ago that got me down to where I am now, but that's about it. A few years ago I moved a considerable distance from where I grew up and the stress + not being able to afford food for 2 weeks helped me drop to 190, but slowly and surely, with the help of a lot of beer, I have crept back to 230 territory.
I am planning on starting this Saturday 19-Jul-08, simply b/c I need to go grocery shopping, eat all the carbs in my house and I have an event that I will be drinking at on Friday.
I have been looking online and reading the Atkins book about what to stock in the pantry but any tips would help. Giving up beer will be the hardest :-(
