  • New UK member wud love support!

    Hi guys,
I have been asked to introduce myself so here goes.
My name is Karen and I want to shift a couple of stones. I'm going to struggle with saying what my weight is in pounds as my maths is not brilliant...in fact it's awful i'm sorry to say!

I weighed 11st 4lb two weeks ago. I have been on Atkins for 2 weeks and have lost 7lb which I am over the moon with

I am 40 in Sept and am having a tummy tuck for my birthday!
Boy, I have saved for 3 years for this so I want to get my weight under control.

Atkins is still classed as an unhealthy way to lose weight over here in the UK so I need all the advice I support I can get. It will be very much appreciated.

I love looking at the before and after pics on here and hopefully, one day soon, I will be able to post up my pics and be really proud of myself.

    Here goes ...... wish me luck x x x x x

        Thanks for your welcome ladies!
I'm from Cheshire in England and to answer your question chicklady, 14lb equals 1 stone. I just wish I was so much better at Maths!

Anyway, gone midnight here so off to bed. x x x x

          WELCOME KAREN........
PLEASE DO NOT THINK THAT THIS LIFESTYLE CHANGE IS BAD! I just read the other day that the Adkins and Med Way of EATING is the best and healthiest way to loose unwanted pounds (stones). Please stick with it...you will feel better......I just started for the second time and I am down by 8 pounds in 5 days. It's really hard the first few days because of the need for sugar and bread but IT GETS EASIER EVERY DAY! I AM NOW ON A NATURAL HIGH BECAUSE OF THE QUICK WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS!!!! GOOD LUCK!

            Hi Karen,

I am also not from USA but I found it really doesn't matter. Everybody here is very friendly and supportive. As being newbies what we need is a good support. Stay with this I am sure you will be rewarded.

Thanks for the welcome newleaf! How is your Atkins journey going? I'm only 4 weeks in and have lost 9lb up to last week and did not lose a lb this week. Bit gutted as i'm sticking religiously though. Only introduced raspberries 4 eves a week so maybe the raspberries are not for me. Will see x x x

                            That's a great loss!!
I lost about 2 stone a couple of years ago but couldn't believe how quick it went back on when I came off the Atkins WOE. Did your's go on quick too?
I have just got on with it really, not posted my meals. I need to start playing more with this site really. It's so vast that I get a bit lost and go stop looking. I have heard lots of people talk about fitday so I might take a look at that.
I will need to vary my meals though as I tend to stick to the same foods and thats where I got bored before.
I want to lose 1.5 stone now and am having a tummy tuck in 3 weeks time. I can't wait to get rid of my stretch marked saggy tum!!!
What sort of meals are you eating?
