Hello, my name is Cheryl. I'm a 28 year old, identical twin (my twinnie is SassySherie
) living in South Carolina. This is also my 2nd time doing Atkins and I really wish I hadn't waited so long to come back. I did Atkins back in 2003 and lost a lot of weight, but I started to get concerned with all of the reports I kept hearing about how bad low-carb dieting was for me and I got discouraged. Since then I have gained back all of that weight, plus about 13 lbs more, and reached my heaviest weight ever (198 lbs)... all while doing all of that 'responsible' low cal, low fat dieting everyone convinced me I should have been doing all along.
Since going back to low fat/low cal, I've come across numerous studies, reports, and articles that basically disproved everything bad anyone ever told me about low-carb dieting and I've come to the realization that all of the so-called science about low fat eating has pretty much been wrong from the start. I'm tired of being the 'fat girl', and as I'll be turning 29 in less than a month and the big 3-0 next year, I've decided that I just have to stop whining and fix this once and for all.
Thanks for reading! I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you... and to getting healthy!
Here's to never looking back!!!
