  • HI everyone

    I joined last week but I haven't started yet. I was a devote Atkins eater until about 6 months ago. Stress got to me. I've gained back 30 lbs and really need to get control. I'm 55 and have bad knees so the extra weight doesn't help. I do weights 3 times a week and swim when I can. I need all the help I can get. Thanx!

      Hello and welcome back to Atkins and this board! Good to have you with us.
      Kudos to you for taking control of your life again.

      Post lots and use the board for all it has to offer: Join a challenge or two, maybe start a journal, look up a low carb recipe... it's all good.

      You can do it! We'll help.

          Hi Judy! Welcome. My only question is why haven't you started yet???

          I know all about bad knees LOL, but losingweight has helped me a lot. Hope you will join us in the Arthritis subforum as well. We exchange a good bit of ino on stuff relating to bad knees! Lots of support on this board!

            Thax everyone. I'll definitely look into the Arthritis forum. I started induction yesterday and boy do I feel like I have the flu. Headaches and just tired. I'm hoping to be in ketosis tomorrow. My hunger pangs seem to be fading. I haven't weighed myself yet. I'm kinda scared to. I've gained back 3-0 lbs , I'm sure. Thanx again.

              Hi Judy,

              Welcome! Keep up the great work with the weights and swimming. Swimming is terrific for the body especially when dealing with Arthritis.

              Looking forward to hearing updates on how you're doing. Let us know how it's going once you've started Atkins.

              I have found this forum to be very helpful in so many ways....read as much of it as you can.
