    Hello, my name is Kim. I live in Orangevale, CA which is in the Sacramento area. About 6 years ago, I went on the Atkins diet and did very well on it...lost almost 50lbs. Then I had a baby and have never gotten back on the diet. Thankfully, I did not gain all the weight back, but it is time to do away with what I did and maybe a little more.

    I have three girls ages 9,8, and 3. My oldest has a rare autoimmune disease called Juvenile Dermatomyositis which at times has almost crippled her.

    So I am ready to jump back into the diet. I am planning my grocery list today and hope to start tomorrow. The hardest thing "COFFEE". If I get through the caffinee withdrawals then it is smooth sailing after that.

    Hi Kim and welcome. I couldn't quit coffee completely, but I did switch to half decaf, half regular and am slowly trying to increase the decaf percentage over time. If you can't leave the Java alone, give this a try.

      Hi Kim How's the coffee withdrawal going?





      290 lbs. on 11/02/07 Goal: 145 lbs. or size 14 whichever comes first!

        I gave in to my coffee cravings...but I limit myself to one cup only! I was drinking almost a whole pot of coffee myself. I just can't go through the caffine withdrawals and the sugar withdrawals at the same time. I don't have the support I need at home to be able to do that.
