  • Newbie excited but frustrated

Hello! I am 34 years old, 5/2" and weigh 137 lbs. I am not sure how I got to that size since I have worn a size 6 for nearly 10 years and all of a sudden the scale has me 10 lbs heavier, but my clothes still fit! My husband and I started the diet together three days ago and though I am not one for "sweets" most of the time, I have been craving chocolate cake like crazy.

I am hoping to make it through induction and be successful since I don't have a whole lot to lose...

Just here for support as we all struggle together! Glad there is a board here.

good luck! good thing is, right after induction you can just move right up those rungs since you don't have much to lose. welcome

(edit) oh, wait, i forgot about the title of this thread...why are you frusterated? Is it that you've suddenly just started to gain weight? Or something in reference to the diet/induction?

Thanks! Frustrated because right now I really want potatoes or pasta. This is going to be tough...I had an urge for a suzy q (haven't had those since I was pregnant 10 years ago) like mad today....

I was good though, and so far have fought the urge!

        Hi Maddie,
You will be all right after the induction. I lived on carbs. Sometimes I am scared I won't be able to enjoy carbs the way I enjoyed for the rest of the life. But I don't need them right now. The craving for carbs gone away during the induction.
