  • New to Atkins (sort of)

    Hi,

    I'm Colleen. I tried Atkins for a day and a half four years ago, and felt so bad that I gave up. I guess it is going easier now since I actually did some reading BEFORE I started and knew what to expect!

    I started yesterday morning, and I'm already in ketosis! Not sure if that is normal, but I'll take it. I have had a little "flu", but it seems to come and go- a little last night before bed, a bit today starting around lunch.

    My only problem is I am already wishing I never had to eat meat again! The thought of my next meal almost turns my stomach. I would love to have a cold glass of skim milk and some strawberries right now, as weird as that sounds!

    Everyone here seems so happy to help, and hopefully I'll have something to contribute soon!

    Colleen, welcome. You can have tuna, shellfish, eggs - try to mix it up so you don't get bored. Hang in there. It is only 2 weeks. You can do it.
