  • Hello!

    Hi!

I am not new to Atkins, just new to this site.

I started doing Atkins in Jan. 2008 and my starting weight was 275lbs. As of this morning, 7/25/2008 I weighed in at 214 lbs. I'm a female in my late thirties and am 5'6. I have lost 61 lbs. so far. My ultimate goal is to weigh 150 lbs. which will put me at a normal BMI. My mini-goal is to get to ONEderland! I haven't weighed under 200 lbs. in over 16 years.

I have been overweight/obese my entire adult life. I've tried numerous diets including Weight Watchers, Nutri System, Herbalife, and other fad diets. I only lost about 20 lbs on each diet and a whole lot of money in the process!

I'm a chocoholic and I love everything sweet! I also love salty snacks, so I guess that would make me a carbaholic.

I'm so thrilled that I have finally found an eating plan that works for me! Atkins has changed my life so much. I can now tie my shoes without straining. At my heaviest weight, I couldn't cross my legs due to their chub, and now I can cross them comfortably. Surprisingly, I've gone down a whole shoe size as well as a ring size. I used to be a tight 24W and am now a size 16. My health has improved 100%. I feel better than I did in my twenties, and my energy has soared through the roof. It used to be a struggle for me just to get off the couch, and now I can walk for miles. My whole outlook on life has changed dramatically, and I am loving life!

I'm extremely happy that I came upon this site, because up until now, I did this on my own. The first time I came here, I read and read for hours! I LOVE all the inspirational stories, and gathered a lot of info. from questions that have been posted.

Thank you all so very much for all of your inspiration and support! I look forward to reading more! YOU GUYS ROCK!

    Love,
    Jasmine
