  • Hi! I'm a newbie!

    I'm new to Atkins and this site. I've done a little bit of online research but have not read the Atkins book yet. I'm starting my induction phase tommorow and would really appreciate some info on what you guys ate during this time. My current weight is 189 and my goal weight is 140 lbs - hopefully more. I'm excited about my lifestyle change!

      Welcome!
      Sooner or later (probably sooner), somebody's going to tell you to "read the book!", so you might as well hear it from me.

      My typical induction day meals are something like this:
      Breakfast: egg-based, either a slice of crustless quiche or an omellete (sp?).
      Lunch: Big Cobb salad with some kind of protein (chicken, ham, tuna, pepperoni)
      Snack: 1 or 2 string cheese
      Supper: Chicken, tuna, or beef dish with broccoli or some other veggie.

      Congrats on your inches lost - keep up the good work.
