  • Well howdy!

    Hello everyone

I just started induction on 7/22/08. I had done Atkins a few years back and was successful, so I am giving it another go around I've gained 25 pounds since I was last eating Atkins WOE. Though, about 20 of those pounds happened in the last few months. My weight was creeping up and I upped my activity, started going to the gym a couple extra days a week, cut back my calories and I still continued to gain, plus I was so hungry all the time to boot. I started to panic because I felt my weight was starting to get out of my control, I've always been able to shed when I needed to with no problems. Nothing was working and I was so frustrated.

I've lost 8 pounds thus far with Atkins, and this is INSANE progress relative to how hard I was busting my butt for a few months on a low fat diet, only to gain 20 pounds. Now only 12 more to go.

I've already found so many helpful tips and awesome recipes on here! I wish I had found this years ago and I'd probably never would have strayed XD

Keep it up, so glad to be here!

Good luck on your journey! Stay with this way of eating/way of living instead of going back to your old ways after you loose the weight!!
