  • New in No. VA

    Hi everyone,
I got a PM that the first step here is introducing myself, so here I am. My name is Tracy, I am 42 years old and live in Northern Virginia.

I haven't really been feeling like myself this past year, and have gained over 40lbs. Trust me, I was far from thin to begin with! When I went for my annual thyroid test (I am on medication for being hypothyroid), the results were ugly. TSH=10.38

Well, that would explain it, but shame on me for not recognizing the signs!! Anyhoo, it's been a month since they upped my meds, and I at least now feel motivated to get this darned weight off....so, something must be working!

Today will mark the end of week one on induction, and now that I am through the oogie withdrawal feelings, all is well so far. I haven't stepped on a scale yet. Yikes....I am not sure I want to know. I'll do that next weekend after I finish my first two weeks, and use that as my starting point.

I found this site when searching for recipes, and love the support and motivation that can be found here.

    Make it a great day!!!
    Tracy
