    What's up!
I just finished the 2 week induction stage and am now doing o.wl. I am 6'5, yet i still have over 100 lbs i need to lose. I started the diet at 334, my goal weight is 220. I have done it strictly and have seen great success to this point. I also regularly exercise and don't have any real troubles breathing, walking, running, what not, but I decided it was time to slim down, because at my size in the future i certainly would. My one real problem is that I am currently a college student, in a fraternity, and there is limited chance that I won't be binge drinking 2-4 days a week. Is doing atkins 5 days a week, while giving into drinking on friday and saturday a workable diet. I know atkins says drinking just delays weightloss, rather than stops it, but I am looking for some confirmation. If not, recommendation of any other diets that would be more affable to my situation?

    Thanks

sounds like you want a way out or our 'go ahead' on binge drinking. sorry, but i won't be one to give the green light.

i have to say that it would not be good or recommended with this woe or with any other diet. if you have read the book, you know there is an alcohol rung and that even when you get to that rung there are carb limits.

binge drinking is not good for your system regardless of what you are eating.

      Welcome aboard!

I have to ditto exactly what jimmie said.
Why not hang in there and get through the two weeks of induction, then you can move up the OWL (ongoing weight loss) rungs. The alcohol rung isn't too far ahead. However... when you do get there, try not to binge drink. Just drink in moderation.

      You can do it!
