  • Going for the "Goal"

    Greetings,
Since 2007, I have lurked on the board. I have loved reading about your "life changing" journeys and have constantly been inspired by everyone.

At my heaviest,(2007) I weighed in at 265 pounds and decided at that very moment to do something about it.

I have not rigidly followed Atkins but have managed to lose weight. To date, I weight 218 and would like to reach my goal of 150 lbs. before my 43rd birthday 6/09.

I am no longer in lurker mode and look forward to getting to know all of you!

Oh, before I forget: Today is my 2nd day of induction. Wish me luck!

Losing 47 pounds is no joke. Congratulations!
Even if you still have to lose weight to reach 150, you should always feel good and proud of what you've done. Keep it up and wish you all the luck!

          Hi,
Thanks for the welcome. For the past year, I have been working out on average 3x a week--- cardio and some weight training.

Thanks for the encouragement. I am very pleased to have lost 47 lbs. What an impact it has had on my outlook! There are those rare instances that I wish the weight would just melt off overnight. But I know that slow and steady wins the race. If I look on the positive side, I'm actually losing it a lot faster than I gained it! LOL
