  • So..I guess I have to introduce myself : )

I'm Celeste a 26 Year old female, wife, mom of 1 year old boy and a 10 year old girl. I have some preganancy weight gain.

I started this diet two weeks ago and lost a total of 16 lbs...Crazy huh?

Yesterday I stoped just for one day and guess what? Yup, gained 5 lbs. I can't believe how Carb sensative I am.

So Now today I am starting again and trying to be extra careful to do it correctly and not have days off. It scares me to think of taking a day off.

I am 225 lbs by day before yesterday was 220. My goal is 120 or 130 ...but will push really hard for 120. I am 5' 2" Tall and a 40 waist 50 hip inch ratio.

Anyways I'm like most people that almost tried all diets in the world. Back in 1999 I lost 60 lbs on the Herbalife diet but then again it was all the Ephedra that did it for me. I gained it all back slowly and more.

Since then I've been a yo-yo and nothing has worked well enough for me to lose more than 5 lbs in a week.

I finaly realize what my problem is that I even look at food and I gain weight. Its the carbs. Well so I belive. I thought It was my slow Metabolism. I think I have had a hard time because carbs make me gain weight in a second.

If anyone wants to know more about me I am including my Myspace link:

    Welcome Celeste,
Wonderful success you are having there. Those off plan adventures can be quite scary. More than anything you probably gained some water weight. However, you likely go out of ketosis and now you have to get yourself back there. It is better to stick to the plan for the whole time. Great job getting back on. You will do great. Look forward to reading more of your posts.

        Hi there,

Congrats on choosing to commit yourself to a new diet, lifestyle and you. Make sure not to beat yourself up over a minor set back. Just pick yourself and go for it again.

I think the key for you would be to find out what food tempts you and then try to redirect that into something Atkins suitable. The key is variety. You will have to check your book or the site for what exactly you are restricted to during the two week induction, but during extended induction I learned to include variety in my 20 carb allowance. For example, when the family is having pizza, I make myself pizza with low carb tortilla and all the fixings. Don't deny yourself. Eat enough of the right things to feel satisfied and you won't be so hungry that you'll go back to eating the wrong things.

What has helped me is to use Atkins recipes for inspiration. I hope my suggestions helped. Best of luck to you and your weight loss!
