    Help!!!

Hello. I am Jamie and have been in the induction phase for about a week. I have lost 5 lbs so far and I am loving it! One problem, though - I am getting the most TERRIBLE leg pains, especially at night. I bought all sorts of vitamins and I have been drinking lots of water but it's still not helping. I even bought the shakes and bars to try and get even more nutrients. What is the deal??? HELP!!

    Re: Help!!!

    Hi,

I think you might be low on potassium. Try increasing it (from food rather than from supplements) and see if that helps.

You could also try stretching your legs before going to bed.

One of the treatments I've heard for leg cramps involves vitamin B-12. I never got that far, but you might want to do some research into it.

However, potassium is IMO the best guess, so here's a list with potassium rich foods:

Thanks for the tip. I actually bought potassium pills because not many foods that are allowed have a lot of potassium. I will try more tuna and cucumbers. Thanks so much.

Hi ive never known anyone to get leg pains due to Atkins, if it continues you should go to your GP, it might not be related to Atkins???
