      Hi Gardi,
I am in Germany too. How are you doing finding foods to eat and resisting Brötchen??
I wish you luck. I am in the Hannover area and doing my best to explain why I cannot eat Abendbrot!!

Oh, you're super close to me (Bremen). Welcome to !

Passing bread, pastry, gravy, etc. gets easier as you advance into Atkins. Concentrate on natural, unprocessed foods and your weight loss results will "taste" much better than any Abendbrot.

Did you have white asparagus since you started Atkins? I made a very tasty white asparagus soup a few days ago.

          Guten Abend,
I believe to give up Abendbrot is hard, besonders die Broetchen. I am trying my best this time and hope to stick with it.

            Re: Warm greetings from Germany

            Gardi,
I really do not have a problem skipping the bread. I am American by birth and am used to eating a warm evening meal. The biggest problem I have is that everyone thinks I am crazy because we do not do Abendbrot. When my husband wants it, I serve him and the children and then fix myself another meal.
On the weekends, we normally eat lovely Brötchen, but I am prepared this time and I make myself an Omlette first and then eat it while the rest eat their Brötchen.

            Georgiana,
I have not had the Spargel yet this year. I was not sure if that was allowed during Induction. I need to read more so that I am better informed.
I love Bremen, by the way, I think it is a neat city. My brother-in-law used to live in Syke.

Good luck to you both!! Gardi, you can do it!!
