New Here, Day 3 of Induction!!

  • New Here, Day 3 of Induction!!

    Hello Everyone, I am Melissa, I will be 33 in about 3 weeks and I have 3 great kids 11,5 and 2 I have been doing weight watchers, eating low fat and low calories off and on for years now. I started getting heavy after having my first child almost 12 years ago and kept creeping up after each child. My heaviest was 231 after baby #3 and managed to get to 222 with WW but it takes FOREVER!! Anyway I have this friend who has been doing atkins and I always said "Nooooo I can't do that, I LOVE my crabs" well here I am Day 3 of induction and I have already lost 4.5lbs (217.5) I got down to 218 last summer doing low fat which seemed so hard. I am actually enjoying atkins and it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be (yet)

    I still have LOTS of reading and learning to do, I look forward to reading these forums and getting to know people!!

    Mini Goals-
    1st Goal-199 lbs. made it 9/10/08
    2nd Goal-175 lbs.

    Hello, I am on day 3 today also. One thing I have noticed makes it a little easier is planning ahead for each meal. I agree weight watchers takes so long and it seems to be alot easier to cheat on. You just can't cheat on Atkins or its back to day one and no one wants to do that! Good luck.
