  • Help! I'm new

    Hello!! This whole concept is very new to me and I feel I'm doing very well. I just feel this can't be right! It's too easy and too tasty. I have been doing induction for 12 days and have lost 10 pounds. I Have not gone through any withdrawl. Is this normal? Also I have been using the kytosticks and they have been coming up different types of pink. Today when I did it it showed no pink. Is this a problem? I have not eaten ANY bread, pasta, fruit etc. I'm also having a hard time understading the whole vegtable thing. The book says 20 grams of carbs MOST of which come from veggies, but you can only have 3 cup salad green or 2 cups salad greens and 1 cup veggies. The veggies on the allowable list do not have a lot of carbs so how do you get MOST of your carb intake from veggies???? I hope this makes sense!!!!! I also can't find in the book where it say "Cheese allowance". I have been eating lots of cheese (but staying within 20 carbs daily). What is the max cheese allowance i.e 3 sevings a day. THANK YOU SO MUCH

    I think with your weight loss to date, you are on track, and doing IT right
    Any colour you get off the ketosticks is a good thing...as long as it changes colour....doesn't matter how light or dark...
    Not sure about the cheese, as I don't have the book in front of me.

      Fist off let me say you are doing great and keep up the work!
      You can easily get your carbs from the veggies. I know I eat a lot of bell peppers and just in a cup of those Ive already gotten 7 carbs according to fitday! Play around with your veggies, there are lots of good ones to choose from, just choose wisely. As for cheese we are allowed 3-4 oz a day.

        Yeah, it sounds like you're mostly doing ok, but the cheese is a problem. According to the book, you should only have 3-4 ounces of cheese per day. And yes, you should be getting somewhere around 15 carbs per day from the veggies. The remainder would come from cheese, eggs, sweeteners, etc.
