Good Morning Donna,
Yes, you have the correct book. I would suggest you read through-Before you begin, page 107 and then "And away you go: The Induction Phase pge 121. Read, Read, Read! I hear you on the meat. Still though, watch your portion size on your protein. To much will cause it to turn into glucose and then be stored as fat. 4-6 0z serving of protein is just right at each meal. I have protein in the a.m and at my evening meal. A salad at lunch and or dinner. It's a good idea to spread your veggies out throughout the day.
Sorry to hear about your infection and your icecream binge. You'll get your footing.
You should be eating 2 cups off the salad veggies, page 125 and 1 cup of veggies off of the other veggie list 126. Yes, do measure your veggies, so important!
I have a lot to learn. But from seeing how so many people are losing so many pounds with Atkins, I just have to try harder and read and STUDY and work at making menus and sticking to them.
