Hello, all.
I am a returnee to Atkins, Day One. I'm here to say that it's a big world of a zillion ways to regain weight, out there! After a couple of successful years on Atkins (~35 pounds lost and kept off) I decided to switch to a low-fat lifestyle for variety.
Suffice it to say that it was a happy binge at Dairy Queens, and that I'm back, complete with my 35-plus once-lost pounds.
I also want to warn people that if you are a prodigal daughter, like me, it is REALLY worth restudying Induction. I was way too cocky and know-it-all coming back in. So... I have just spent two months being Girl-Scout obedient to what "I knew.
But not even one pound lost.
I THOUGHT I was doing induction, but I was doing something closer to maintenance.
Today, I am starting again, and completely by the book. It's not quite noon, and I've had breakfast and lots of water and even exercised.
(A shock to my body!)
About me: Divorced and just-remarried mom of two (sons). I teach journalism at a nearby college in Michigan. I love spiritual stuff, and the tone of this website.
And I'm wishing everyone reading a great low-carb day! Honestly, my whole body and mind feel better on this regime. I'm looking forward to regaining my groove.
peace to all
