  • Ready to loose!

    So, here I am a 26 yr old mom of a 2 year old and FT nursing student. I have been w/my husband for 7 years (married 1) and I can not even believe where I am at w/my weight! I have gained 50 lbs in the past 7 years. I was always like, just 10 more lbs, that's not so bad. So now I am at my HIGHEST weight ever! 215 is NOT the place I want to be! I could hardly believe when I actually got on the scale yesterday, well, actually I could as I have gone from a comfy 14 to a barely 20! UGH! I am in my BFFs wedding Oct. 09 and we went to try on dresses, and I took a pic...that will def. be my BEFORE pic. I didn't even recognize my chubby face let alone my whole body! Also for health reasons I know I need to change now. I had gestational diabetes when I was pregnant and I know that puts me at about a 70% or higher to develop type 2 if I keep going the way I am. I also had a blood clot during pregancy and my leg still hasn't healed yet (lots of fluid, 1 1/2 inches bigger in the L calf than the R) So, I'm taking it slow on the exercise, just starting with some slow walking because my leg tightens up very fast if I go faster. Anyway, thanks for looking at all my rambling! I just started induction today and am very committed and excited!!

      We are almost the same in stats. BW 205/GW 150...
      I too want to get down to 150... or 140 who knows, my goal is to lose the last 50 pounds of my goal of 160- i have lost 110 so far back in '02 and did manage to keep that weight off and I kept it off by remembering the 300+pounds I used to weigh- I modify, modify and modified everything to stay this weight but now its time to go on to the next phase and lose my last 50 pounds......when I modified I would eat low carb torts, low carb bread, low carb dreamfields pasta, MY VERSION of cheese cake by -4oz of cream cheese, 2 splendas and then whip it up with a little whipped cream to get the craving of sweets over...and still drink everything diet and no sugar... I found that all my modifying has kept the weight off but Im still overweight, I still did carbs every now and again but I felt bad doing it since I was so used to the other way. But I am in the same boat as you my legs hurt when I do to much and I think to its because I havent exercised in 3 months and my body is tired of being this weight, I gotta get it off so now is the time for us to look forward and stay committed, dont give up so you can look totally hot at your friends wedding, I have a picture at my friends wedding when I weighed 250 pounds- I was halfway in my Atkins wieght loss back then and I hate that picture... but now although I weigh 200 Its still better than 300 and I kinda have enjoyed being here in this spot, thats why I gotta do this again, I have gotten to comfortable in this weight class...middle heavy weight.. so here we go- a toast to us with a diet drink in our hand and go forward, we can do this girlie...
