  • Hi Yall! Im New and Looking for Support

    Im 41, four kids, and spent most of the night reading this board...yall are SUCH an inspiration!

    I have been on Atkins before, last summer, and got down from 160 to 135. creeped back to 146, but took ahold of myself and now down to 141 today and have a goal of 125(Im five two) I have been as high as 172 and my health was terrible. I huffed and puffed and looked swollen and FeLT miserable! Well, No MORE!

    I have had a taste of feeling better, and decided to nip it in the bud this time. I walk 5 miles a day(Im a life time walker runner literally since the age of nine..thanks dad!) and that has been one of the biggest factors to any success I have had in the past. I LOVE the protien in my diet. I feel fuller and less hungry when I follow Atkins.

    Im back to my five miles, and ready for a newer me! I dont think Ive been 125 in my entire life, so this oughta be fun!! Im very happy to be here with like minded folks..Hi Yall! :wave

        This place is great and is wonderful for encouragement, information and staying on plan. I have been on this board for 6 days and it has helped me stay on plan a lot! I can always come here when I need help or encouragement or to encourage others!
        LOL! I spend a lot of time reading this board, too! Welcome again and looking forward to hearing from you on your journey!

              Welcome KathySue! We have just about the same stats! I am also 5'2" and my start weight was 176. I am now down to 122-124. It just depends on the day. Good luck and you can do this!!

                Wow, I'm impressed! A 5 mile a day walker. With that kind of exercise, you'll shrink quickly.
