    Hello everyone! I live in the Phoenix area (unfortunately for me at the moment - very hot!) and this will be my second time going on the Adkins diet. The first time, I lost almost 50 lbs in about 6 months, then put it back on in the next 6 months This time, though, it's going to stick - I'm planning a wedding for late next year, and I WILL be beautiful by then As my name reflects, I'm the proud other half of the most wonderful man in the world, a cop who works on the SWAT team. He's my hero. My really, really, fit and muscular hero which is another reason I need to get back down to where I want to be...so I can keep up with him! I'm 26 yrs old, 5'4" and sadly 212 lbs at my starting date (yesterday). By this time next year, if not sooner, I hope to be about 120-130 lbs. Wish me luck, here we go!

    Sounds like you've got a good attitude and plenty of motivation ... welcome back and all the best!

      yea definitly, you make my motivation look pretty pointless :P, but i still aint gunna give in, i mean its way to early to give in and im not gunna let my self fail like all the others whove done so, also on induction, which is kinda sad, but all they need is some motivation and determination.

        Thanks guys Sorry I havn't checked back in awhile, been super busy! The good news is, I have so far lost 16 lbs! The bad news is, I kind of plateau'd My solution to this was to go off the diet for one day - I had soup, a baked potatoe, fruit, etc. on that day. I started back on Adkins again first thing the next morning, and my sticks were turning nearly black again within 24 hours! I guess I just needed to re-start my body. Whatever the case, it worked. I have discovered that I really love the Adkins shakes! Yummy stuff Plus, I joined a gym and am doing yoga 4 times a week, plus swimming 5-6 times a week. I'm getting there! I'm so excited that my clothes are starting to hang on me!
